Overview:
This module allows an event manager to circulate a call for papers or speakers, through the configuration of the system the event manager can also set up judges, judging criteria and finalize session or paper selections. This module also allows speakers to upload their biographies and session notes as well as any specific audio visual needs.
Exposoft provides this module to streamline session selection process and virtually illuminates all of the administration of speaker selection process and adjudication.
Event producer can activate this module at the close of their previous event to maximize the number of submissions. Selection criteria can be set up and modified through the back office in real time. Once speaker have been selected simply activate the session and it now becomes active in the registration process.

Specifications:
The Abstract Module is used for the submission and judging of abstracts. The base module provides for the submission of abstracts via a public form as well as the ability to administratively judge the submitted abstracts online via a secure password protected access to the back office. Included in the Abstract module are the following elements:
Public Accessed Abstract Submission Form which includes:
- Creation of a user account along with username / password login for each user to submit abstracts, including Password Retrieval System (for valid email addresses only). Users can modify their account after successful login.
- One static General Information Page to display information about the submission process or event, submission guidelines or disclaimers.
- Submission and storage of up to 500 abstracts up to Abstract Cut-off date (if provided). Abstracts cannot be added after cut-off date.
- Ability to apply one abstract category to each abstract (i.e.: Poster, Presenter, Paper, Oral...)
- Two standard status types for abstract:
- Save as Draft (Editable by user)
- Submitted (Cannot be edited)
- Page to list all abstracts submitted by the user along with the ability to store and manage abstracts not yet submitted.
- One Abstract Submission Page allowing for submission of Text-only abstracts.
- Ability to upload supporting files (such as tables, diagrams or figures) up to a two (2) MB capacity per submission. Files can be deleted by user prior to submission. Uploaded files are not searchable.
- One Authors Page allowing you to add, modify, remove unlimited number of authors and contributors for each abstract. Authors associated with an abstract cannot be modified once the abstract is submitted.
- Ability to categorize the authors with up to 3 types (i.e.: Author, Presenter or Both)
- One submission page allowing the user to verify and confirm the abstract submission along with agreeing to one disclaimer / use of abstract policy.
- Standard validation to ensure all required fields are complete and conform to client-provided business rules.
Back Office Administration which includes:
- Searching of Abstracts based on basic abstract fields (cannot search by author or search contents of uploaded files).
- Ability to modify judge scoring (Administrative access only)
- Ability to manually assign abstracts to judges and a question set for scoring
- Creation of up to four different question sets that can be applied to the abstracts (One question set per abstract per judging level only).
- Ability to assign a numeric value to all judge questions, (yes/no or single multiple choice questions only) to provide score averages.
- Ability to Edit Abstracts including submitter, author information and uploading of files with no size restriction. (Administrative access only).
- Ability to Add abstracts administratively up to submission cut-off date using the Public submission forms only. (if provided) NOTE: Abstracts cannot be added after cut-off date
- Ability to log-in as the submitter (to the public submission pages)
Back Office Judging / Abstract Marking which includes:
- Supporting of up to 10 different judges / Final Reviewers.
- Blind or Open judging from a report of Abstracts to be judged.
- Once an abstract has been judged, it disappears from the report for that judge.
- Report of Abstracts to be judged can display a limited amount of information from the abstracts (see Project Manager for details).
- Up to 5 different access levels
- No Abstract or judging permission
